Role of Quality

The Quality Department aims to support staff to raise standards of the Student Experience, through quality improvement / enhancement of teaching, learning and assessment. The department is also responsible for helping to protect the College reputation through the quality assurance of policies, procedures and systems. The three arms of the Quality Department consist of FE, HE and Apprenticeships, and undertake these activities for all provisions. We oversee the quality assurance systems and processes and support and intervene where identified to ensure our learners get the best experience possible at NCD.


The Quality Department (FE & Apprenticeship provision) and HE Development Unit (HE provision) aims to support curriculum staff to raise standards of the student experience through quality improvement / enhancement of teaching, learning and assessment. The departments are also responsible for overseeing the quality assurance systems and processes, and support and intervene where required to ensure our learners get the best experience possible at NCD.

Induction

Quality forms part of your first day induction. There are a range of support functions within the quality team and these will be explained at induction when you will meet a member of the team.

Key training dates for the academic year relating to quality will be circulated to you after induction.
