Why are there delays in my appointment?

If the appointment process is taking longer than you thought, there is no need to worry, there are many reasons why your appointment might be delayed:

Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) Check:

For a DBS to be completed there are several checks which must be completed by Police and Local Authorities. There are many external factors that must be considered when these checks are taking place. Due to these external factors there is no certain timescale on how long your DBS may take, however you are able to track the progress of your DBS application using this website: https://secure.crbonline.gov.uk/enquiry/enquirySearch.do

Unfortunately, the college are not able to influence your DBS application, and it is understandable why several checks are taking place to ensure safeguarding checks have thoroughly bee completed for the college. Unfortunately, you will need to wait for the DBS check to be completed.
